Varsity Football Kicks Off with Intense First Scrimmage 8/16

The Grace Football team started their season Friday night, August 16th, with a home scrimmage against Alba-Golden. It was a scorcher, with the sun doing its best to make sure everyone was keenly aware of its presence and power. The Cougars would not be daunted, however, and played with great effort against the Panthers. The defense was more suffocating than the humidity and the offense showed flashes of how it can burn any defense it plays against! 

A special thank you to all the Cougar family and friends who braved the heat and came out to support us! The players and coaches will go back to work this week to keep improving and preparing for the season ahead. The Cougars will host another scrimmage on Thursday against Jefferson. We hope to see you out there!
