Varsity Men’s Soccer: A Week of Fight, Improvement & an 8–0 Statement Win

December 1, 2025 – The Grace Varsity Men’s Soccer team wrapped up its opening week with two games that showcased grit, growth, and a powerful team rebound.
Game 1 – November 17 vs. Liberty FC
Grace opened the season at home against Liberty. The guys battled hard throughout the match but ultimately fell 4–1. Goalies Hutchison Osteen and Eli Murphy put forth a commendable performance with 12 and 8 saves respectively. With an assist by Cayden Palacios, Logan Santini scored the Cougars’ lone goal which lifted the team’s energy and set the tone for what they would build on later in the week.
Post-Game Recognitions were introduced this season to highlight individual effort, sacrifice, and team contribution after each game.

The team left the field with determination to sharpen their play and respond with purpose—and they certainly did.
Game 2 – November 21 vs. Tyler Heat
Grace arrived ready—and delivered a commanding 8–0 victory powered by teamwork, crisp passing, and an unselfish attack. Every goal highlighted connection and effort across the field. It was a complete team performance from back to front!

The Cougars finished the week stronger than they started, showing what happens when heart, discipline, and teamwork come together. With this momentum, the team is looking forward to hosting the annual Winter Soccer Tournament the 1st week of December. The Cougars are excited to keep building—one practice, one connection, and one game at a time.
