Varsity Track Teams Competed in the David Vision Private School Championships
The Varsity Track teams competed in the David Vision Private School Championships on Thursday. The Cougars won the boy’s division and the Lady Cougars came in second in the girl’s division.
Winning Gold for the girls were; Emma Goetz 1600m run, Sadie Ariole shot put, Keely Bozeman high jump, Maddie Keeling pole vault, the 4x200m relay team (Maya Gilmore, Maddie Keeling, Aubrey Felton & Keely Bozeman) and the 4x400m relay team (Maddie Keeling, Maya Gilmore, Addie Matthews & Keely Bozeman).
Winning Gold for the boys were; Aden Hecht 110m & 300m hurdles, Sam Brown 100m & 200m dash, Seth Wilson discus, Ayle Hecht pole vault, Peyton Kelly triple jump, and Doak Porter high jump.
Winning Silver for the girls team were; Maggie Jenz 3200m run, Lauryn Dunn 1600m run, Sadie Ariole discus, and the 4x100m relay team (Maya Gilmore, Maddie Keeling, Aubrey Felton & Keely Bozeman) & Brooklyn Gautier pole vault.
Winning Silver for the boys were; Ryder Welch long jump, Jeff Torres high jump, Clayton Bock 800m run, Roe Gaddis 3200m run, Doak Porter 110m hurdles, Caden Swaim 300m hurdles, Seth Wilson shot put, Austin Alexander discus, the 4x200m relay team (Ryder Welch, Justus McQuay, Doak Porter & Simeon Hudson) and the 4x400m relay team (Aden Hecht, Caden Swaim, Peyton Kelly & Cole Edens)
Winning Bronze for the girls was; Kat Neal shot put.
Winning Bronze for the boys were Peyton Kelly 400m dash and Caden Swain 300m hurdles.
Getting points (4th-6th) for the girls were Addie Matthews long jump & 100m hurdles, Kayla Minick 400m & 800m dash, Maggie Jenz 1600m run, Addie Matthews and Aubrey Felton 200m dash, Kat Neal discus, and Whitney Callens 3200m run.
Getting points (4th – 6th) for the boys Chris Alexander 3200 & 1600m run, Justus McQuay 200m dash, Cole Edens 400m dash, Dayne Edens 800m run & high jump, Roe Gaddis 1600m run, Luke Anderson shot put, Christian Henry discus, Peyton Kelly long jump and Jack Crawford triple jump.
The track teams will be in action in the district Championships to be held at Grace on Thursday, April 11. Field starts at 10:00 am and running starts at 1:00 pm.
