Why We Love Grace! – The Winebarger Family
“People have asked the question of why Grace Community School. When considering schools, we looked at kids who were current students at Grace and observed how they behaved and were able to interact with other adults. I know some of this comes from family upbringing, but we saw a consistent trait with Grace students. My niece and nephew were great examples. Tim had a co-worker whose kids attended Grace, and we wanted our children to stand out as they did. There was just something different.
The other thing we witnessed from Grace was the network of community. The idea of being a part of a larger environment of like-minded parents and friends was attractive. We knew we needed help in raising godly humans; we didn’t want to do it alone. At the end of the day, the Lord drew our hearts to Grace.
My kids have received and are receiving an excellent education, among many other life skills through Grace. However, Tim and I are thankful for the things we have learned and the people and ways in which God has taught us.
This is a community of people who have the same values and goals to love the young people the Lord has entrusted to us. The school and parents want the same thing for our students: for our children to grow up knowing they are sinners and in need of Jesus, and to know His love for them in the midst of their sin.
Grace Community School has been a gift, and we are grateful for the way the Lord has used this community of people in our lives.”
