Chris Singer

Chris Singer
Tennis Coach
Chris joined our coaching staff in 2021 and brings a wealth of experience from the tennis industry, where he has dedicated his entire career. Chris has made significant contributions to various organizations, including serving as the General Manager at Tyler Tennis & Swim Club for six years, the Adult Tennis Director at Midtown Athletic Club in Chicago, and the Director of Tennis at Cascades Country Club for nine years. Currently, Chris is the full-time assistant coach at Tyler Junior College, working with the nationally ranked men’s and women’s tennis programs.
Chris has been a USPTA certified professional since 2008 and was awarded the USPTA Texas Tennis Professional of the Year in 2016. Chris moved to Tyler in 2006 from Missouri to attend TJC, where he earned his degree in Recreation Management. Chris’s coaching philosophy and passion for tennis have played a key role in our teams’ recent successes and continue to benefit our players and the school.
Outside of coaching, Chris enjoys spending time with his two children, Blake and Abby, who attend Grace Community School. The Singer family are active members of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.
