Cougar Baseball During Spring Break

The Cougar baseball team played two games over Spring Break and won both.  On Monday, the squad defeated the East Texas Chargers 14-4.  The team was sparked by Eli Loeffelholz and his grand slam home run.  Luke Wallace and Eli Loeffelholz combined on the mound to hold the Chargers.  Offensively, Nate Loeffelholz, David Wallace, Avery Baber, and Lawson Livingston picked up hits.   The next day, the Cougars opened district play by defeating Coram Deo 4-1.  Avery Baber went the distance on the mound to collect the win.   Garrett Smith, Brice Dotson, Baber, Eli Loeffelholz, and Gavin Wupperman led the way offensively.   This week the Cougars are home on Tuesday with a doubleheader against Coram Deo.  Friday, the team will travel to play Grapevine Faith.
