As the 1st Graders have been preparing to help Little Bo Peep find her sheep, they became agents of change in their community by caring for homeless animals in the care of the SPCA. Using math, language, art, and computer skills, 1st Graders purchased items for the SPCA, wrote poems about their needs, and created a portrait of an animal in the SPCA's care. The SPCA came to visit, and the 1st Graders were able to give these gifts to them and pet some puppies!
