Chelsea joined Grace Community School in 2017. She teaches Dual Credit U.S. History and the upperclassman Bible elective Christ and Culture. Chelsea is a 2005 graduate of Grace where she placed at state-level speech and debate competitions and was the 2005 TAPPS Fine Arts Student of the Year. Chelsea attended Baylor University where she studied Communication, English, History, and Political Science and graduated in 2009 from Baylor University’s Honors College with a University Scholars degree. She graduated in December 2018 with her Masters in Communication from Stephen F. Austin State University. In 2023, she earned her Masters in Education with a specialization in History from East Texas Baptist University. After college, she served as the East Texas deputy regional director for U.S. Senator John Cornyn. She then felt a calling toward Christian education, first serving as the director of development for the Honors College at Baylor University and as a college advisor at All Saints Episcopal School before returning to GCS. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Tyler, and in her spare time, Chelsea enjoys reading, singing in the church choir, playing board games with family, watching nerdy movies, and traveling.
