Sarah has taught at Grace Community School since 2012 after relocating to Tyler from California. Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology from the University of California, San Diego.  She has since earned her Masters in Education from UT Tyler in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Biology. She currently teaches Advanced Biology in conjunction with ETBU, Anatomy & Physiology and Forensic Science here at Grace. Teaching is Sarah’s second career. Prior to teaching, Sarah was a researcher for Howard Hughes Medical Institute studying pituitary development at UCSD for fifteen years. Sarah and her husband of 34 years, Kevin, have three adult children and are both active members of Grace Community Church.
